💱 Forward Contracts & Overseas Earnings
Forward Contracts and taking advantage of high exchange rates have been discussed extensively recently with clients.
Below is an article with a basic explanation and a YouTube short that talks about the currency state of the GBP to AUD being at its highest point since 2020 and why you should look to take advantage of that.
Since April 2020, there have only been two days in which you could get better exchange rates by sending money from the UK to Australia.
📆 August 17th 2023, and August 5th 2024.
On Friday, rates reached a high of 1.9975, with the $2/1 mark just within reach. It will be interesting to see what next week holds.
Each time it has reached areas it has sold off, anywhere from 7c to 15c.
🇬🇧 If you or anyone you know has been looking to send money to Australia from Pounds, now is a very positive time.
🇳🇿 Not to forget our Kiwi cousins, the rates from GBP to NZD have reached their highest level since 2016!
Tuesday December 10th rates:
AUD/USD - 0.6439
AUD/EUR - 0.6102
AUD/GBP - 0.5051
AUD/NZD - 1.0982
AUD/JPY - 97.37
GBP/NZD - 2.1741
GBP/USD - 1.2748
EUR/USD - 1.0551
USD/JPY - 151.21
